Our primary goal is to provide a positive and personalised learning experience that helps students re-engage with education and transition back into mainstream schooling.

Who are our learners?

We were accepted into the NYCC AP Directory in December 2020 to provide Alternative Education for Children and Young People who are:

  • At risk of exclusion from school

  • Excluded from school on a fixed term basis

  • At risk of disengaging from mainstream education

  • Unable to attend for medical reasons and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).

  • Require additional support during a negotiated transfer between mainstream schools; Otherwise require Alternative Education provision to meet their educational entitlement, for instance in line with an Education, Health and Care Plan

  • Looked after child with no school place

We provide tuition on a 1:1 basis or in small group which can match and support school delivery, or we can provide alternative accreditation through NOCN for both core skills and soft skills.

We work with primary, secondary schools, colleges, Local Authorities, and other professionals to provide a comprehensive and supportive service.

What do we offer?

We are primarily a transition service whose purpose is to rengage learners back in to an education setting with positive experiences of education but we also provide longer periods of delivery when required.

1:1 and small group support in English and Maths from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4.

We support school delivery and pathways, accredited courses and bespoke qualifications through NOCN Group.

We also support the delivery of other subjects required by the learner and/or school.

How do we support?

Our process starts with meeting you and building an individual support plan based on individual needs and recommendations from EHCPs and other available reports.

Each learner has a named support person for pastoral support.

Clear and effective communication with the families, schools and other organisations involved is a priority so we can continue to provide a fully unique and individualised programme of learning.
